Our Waldorf Huntington Learning Center has recently celebrated 17 years of helping students from Kindergarten to12th grade improve their ability to be successful in school, to be more confident, and to become motivated learners for years to come. My name is Mike Cardamone and with the help of my wife and partner, Lorraine, we left long corporate careers to find a challenge that would not solely provide income, but rather, give back to the community while helping children in something that could change their lives.

With our staff, center directors Brandy Merriman and Theresa Guensch, who have been with us for over 12 years, along with more than 50 terrific teachers, the Learning Center has far exceeded our expectations.

Our center provides an accurate academic evaluation for all new students to benchmark where a student is currently and identifies any gaps that need to be addressed. Programs are developed for each student that target not only these academic needs, but also helps to build a student’s confidence which in-turn provides the drive and motivation the student will need for years to come. We see many on our students who we helped in elementary school return when they enter 11th grade for assistance in getting their highest score possible on the college entrance exams.

It is a wonderful feeling when we meet with past students and they excitedly tell us about their successes in school. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing the joy in their faces.
