About The Robinson Township Tutoring & Test Prep Center

I have been a teacher for over 20 years. One of the biggest challenges I have faced is how to reach each student in a way that they learn best. Every child is different and how they learn is different. Identifying what type of learner a child is and tapering lessons to their style is a challenge teachers’ face daily.

I have taught in a variety of settings: public schools, museums, arts and craft schools. I became a teacher because I respected teachers I had in K-12 and college. I also happen to have a knack for it. I found that I prefer small group or 1 to 1 settings. I like to get to know my students, know their skill sets, and how they process information. Then I can try to teach them in a way that they will best understand.

This is why I believe in Huntington Learning Center. Our mission is to give every student the best possible education. We do this by offering supplemental education, which is not the same as what is offered in school. Most people think of supplements in terms of vitamins. When you do not feel you are getting enough vitamins or minerals through diet, you take supplements to maintain good health. Education works the same way – your child is getting some or most of what they need through the school’s curriculum but there may be some skills for which they need additional support. Schools do not have the luxury of going back and teaching the skills each child may be missing. Huntington does.

In addition, we have excellent ACT and SAT prep programs as well as subject tutoring.
