The Huntington Learning Center in Woodstock, GA, is located at the intersection of East Cherokee Drive and Old Highway 5.
Programs include academic skills, subject tutoring, and exam preparation. The Woodstock Huntington Learning Center customizes learning programs to students' individual needs based on standardized test results.
Our center serves students of all ages from elementary school through post- secondary. As with all Huntington Centers, our location takes a “traditional approach” to learning, emphasizing reading, writing, math and critical thinking skills. We focus on teaching students to put information in their own words, understand nuances, and cause and effect. These fundamentals correspond to the new Common Core educational standards adopted in Georgia.
Based on students' individual academic assessment, our directors will meet with parents to discuss areas of strength and weakness, and then customize a program to help fill in specific learning gaps. All instruction is done at the Center and is conducted by certified, experienced instructors.
In addition to improving fundamentals, we provide exam preparation for state tests required at the elementary, middle and high school levels; and other standardized student tests. The most common exam prep at this location is ACT and SAT.We also offer proctoring services for students who take distance learning courses and need someone to observe while they take exams Additionally, we currently have subject tutoring available in the following areas: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Spanish, English Composition.
